Controlled provider setup

Bring a provider in without opening the doors too wide.

This owner kit helps you choose a provider carefully, invite them clearly, watch setup, and run one controlled customer job before promoting Services wider.

The rule for this first setup

Do not try to fill every category first. Prove one clean path first: real provider profile → provider-owned Stripe → customer request → exact quote → customer approval → checkout → appointment or completion → review. After that works once, invite the next provider group.

Pick the provider

  • Choose someone you would personally trust to answer messages.
  • Start with a category that is easy to quote, such as lawn care, cleaning, handyman, hauling, moving help, or basic local services.
  • Prefer a provider with real photos, a clear service area, and a real name customers can recognize.
  • Avoid emergency-only, high-risk, or heavily licensed work until the normal flow is proven.

Tell them this before they start

  • They create or use their own My Lighthouse account.
  • Their customer job payments go to their own connected Stripe account.
  • Easy Lot does not receive their service job payouts.
  • They should only quote one exact total when they are ready for the customer to approve it.
  • Changes should stay inside the Mission Room so nobody loses the record.

What you should not do

  • Do not enter your Easy Lot bank account for another provider.
  • Do not promise the provider is verified unless you actually reviewed the claim.
  • Do not promote the whole marketplace until one real job path has been watched end to end.
  • Do not move quote, payment, or schedule changes into text messages if they belong in the Mission Room.

Message to a provider

I’m opening a provider group inside The Lighthouse Services. I’d like to invite you because your work is the kind of real local help customers can understand and request clearly. You would stay independent. Your customer job payments would go through your own connected Stripe account, not through Easy Lot. Lighthouse keeps the request, quote, payment status, schedule, completion, and review together in one private Mission Room. If they ask about money

Lighthouse organizes the job room and checkout flow, but the provider doing the work connects their own Stripe account for their customer job payments. Easy Lot / Lighthouse upgrade subscriptions are separate from provider service payments.

If they ask what happens next

First, create or sign into My Lighthouse. Then publish your provider profile. After that, connect your own Stripe account for payouts. Once a customer request fits, answer inside the Mission Room, send one exact quote, and the customer approves before paying.

Open walkthrough

When the first job is finished

  1. Open the Services status and refresh it.
  2. Confirm no payment issues or owner exceptions are waiting.
  3. Check whether the customer understood the request, quote, payment, and completion path.
  4. Check whether the provider understood their profile, payout, quote, schedule, and review path.
  5. If both sides made it through cleanly, invite the next small group.
