Services FAQ

▶ Watch: how this section works · 35 sec

These answers keep the Services path clear for both customers and providers before the directory fills in.

For providers

Do I pay Lighthouse to join?

Provider profiles are free while the Services directory is filling in. If Lighthouse later sells optional upgrades, those are separate from customer job payments.

Where does my money go?

Customer job payments go through the provider’s own connected Stripe account. Easy Lot does not need another provider’s bank details for that provider’s work.

Do I need Stripe?

You need Stripe if you want customers to pay online after they approve a quote. You can still shape and publish a profile before Stripe is fully ready.

Can I pause my profile?

Yes. A provider can pause automation and new bookings, and the owner can hold profiles that need review before matching.

What happens if a customer cancels?

Keep cancellations, schedule changes, refund requests, and messages inside the Mission Room so both sides have the same record. Stripe handles the payment record for online payments.

For customers

Is this open yet?

Services is online. Customers can describe a job now while Lighthouse adds providers to the directory.

Can I request help before I see the right provider?

Yes. Describe the job and save it to My Lighthouse. If the right provider is not available yet, the request can wait privately until a matching provider joins or you choose one.

What happens if no provider is available?

Your request can still be saved to your Lighthouse account. It can be matched later when the right provider joins or when you choose a listed provider.

When do I pay?

You pay only after a provider sends one exact quote and you approve it. The checkout should match the approved quote. Do not pay from a message or side agreement that is not reflected in the Mission Room.

Who performs the work?

The provider performs the work. Lighthouse helps organize the request, quote, payment status, schedule, completion, and review.

Does Lighthouse guarantee the provider?

No. Provider profiles and claims belong to the provider unless Lighthouse specifically records a verification review. Customers should check credentials, licenses, insurance, reviews, and fit for the job.

Services rule

If something feels unclear, keep the job inside Lighthouse, avoid sharing private access details publicly, and use the Mission Room record before money or schedule changes happen.
