THELIGHTHOUSESeller Prep

MARKETPLACE · SELLER PREP KIT

Bring real sellers in carefully.

Sellers should make Marketplace feel real, local, and useful from the start. Start with people who can post honest items, real photos, clear pickup limits, and respond to messages without moving customers straight outside Lighthouse.

Start smallInvite a few trusted sellers first so quality stays high while the flow is still new.
Use real mediaEvery first listing should have actual photos or video, not stock images or placeholders.
Keep first contact privateNo public phone numbers, email addresses, payment handles, gate codes, or exact addresses.
Watch correctionsIf a listing needs a fix, My Marketplace shows the seller exactly what to correct and resubmit.

SELLER SETUP CHECKLIST

What a seller should do before posting.

Sign into My Lighthouse. This keeps listings, messages, saves, and corrections connected to the seller.
Choose the right listing type.Sell, free, trade, or wanted all belong on the same Marketplace floor.
Add real photos or video.Use the actual item, space, material, or request. Show condition and scale.
Write a clear title.Use what it is, size or brand when helpful, and the main condition.
Describe flaws honestly.Missing parts, damage, stains, dimensions, age, pickup limits, and what is included should be clear.
Use only a general area publicly.Town, neighborhood, or nearby landmark is enough until private messages confirm the handoff.
Keep payment and private contact out of the public listing.Do not post phone numbers, email addresses, payment handles, exact addresses, or door codes.
Check My Marketplace after posting.Messages, saved interest, listing status, and owner correction notes all return there.

BEST FIRST LISTINGS

Start with listings that are easy to trust.

  • Household goods with real photos and clear condition.
  • Tools, small equipment, parts, and materials with measurements.
  • Free curb, cleanout, or giveaway items that can move quickly.
  • Wanted requests for common items, local help, or materials.
  • Storage, parking, workspace, or space offers with general area only.
  • Maker, repair, or custom work examples with real finished photos.

WAIT UNTIL LATER

Wait until later for these.

  • Anything prohibited, regulated, or requiring licensed transfer.
  • Listings with no real photo when a photo should be possible.
  • High-value items with unclear ownership, condition, or pickup rules.
  • Posts asking for gift cards, wire transfers, or off-site payment pressure.
  • Listings that publish exact addresses, codes, emails, or phone numbers.
  • Live animals, weapons, drugs, counterfeit goods, or adult services.

COPY-READY INVITES

Invite sellers with a real Lighthouse explanation.

Use these when you want someone you trust to help seed Marketplace with real listings. The message explains that Marketplace is broader than storage and that first-listing quality matters.

Short text

I’m opening the Lighthouse Marketplace inside Easy Lot Storage Solutions. It is for buying, selling, free items, trades, wanted requests, and practical local needs, not just storage. I’m inviting a few trusted sellers before I promote it wider. If you have something real to post with actual photos and clear details, you can start here: https://www.easylotstoragesolutions.com/marketplace.html#sell

Email / message

Hi, I’m getting the Lighthouse Marketplace ready for its first real sellers. It is part of The Lighthouse by Easy Lot Storage Solutions, but it is not only for storage. People can buy, sell, trade, post wanted requests, offer free items, and organize the next step through private Marketplace messages. I’m starting with a small group so the first listings look real, local, and trustworthy. If you have something to post, please use real photos or video, describe the condition clearly, list only a general area publicly, and keep phone numbers, exact addresses, payment handles, and door codes out of the public listing. You can begin here: https://www.easylotstoragesolutions.com/marketplace.html#sell

Follow-up

Quick follow-up on the Lighthouse Marketplace invite. If you post, check My Marketplace afterward for messages, saved interest, or any correction note before it is promoted wider. The goal is to make the first listings feel useful and real from the beginning: https://www.easylotstoragesolutions.com/marketplace.html#my-marketplace

IF LIGHTHOUSE ASKS FOR A CORRECTION

Keep sellers from feeling rejected.

A correction means the listing can still move forward. The seller opens My Marketplace, reads the owner note, fixes the missing detail or safety issue, and resubmits. This keeps listing quality high without forcing the seller to start over.

OWNER REVIEW RHYTHM

What to check while the room grows.

  • New listings have real media and clear handoff terms.
  • Public text does not expose private contact or exact address details.
  • Reports and message concerns are cleared before wider promotion.
  • At least a few listings are live before asking the public to browse.
