More about this section

Give your work a home with your creator story, specialties, custom-work interests, and a clear next step. Makerspace keeps handmade work, commissions, classes, Marketplace items, and creative media from getting mixed together.

Use Makerspace whenYou make custom, handmade, or creator-led work.

Creator profiles, craft stories, commissions, project paths, and maker identity belong here.

Use another room whenThe item is already ready to list or the value is a lesson.

Use Marketplace for a ready item, Learning for how-to lessons, and Creative Studio for media release work.

First actionDecide whether this is a profile, commission, item, or lesson.

That choice keeps makers from being pushed into a generic listing when the work needs a real creative path.

One natural sentence is enough.

One creative home

Ongoing creative value needs more than a listing.

Start with a free creator profile. Your Lighthouse membership brings starter maker tools together with the rest of your account; there is no separate Maker subscription. Lighthouse takes no percentage from a maker’s work or sale.

Custom project

Plan a custom project

Save the scope before approaching a maker. This private brief creates no commission, quote, payment or public listing.

Save and return later

Saved only to your account. Files and permission checkboxes are excluded.

My saved plans

When ready, prepare a service inquiry. For an already finished item, prepare a Marketplace listing.

Choose the right creator path

Not every creative idea should become the same thing.

Makerspace helps separate a handmade item, a custom commission, a class, a project story, and a regular Marketplace listing before the visitor gets pushed into the wrong workflow.

01

Maker profile

Use this when the person needs a public home for their craft, story, specialties, location, and whether they welcome private custom-work requests.

Shape profile
02

Custom work or commissions

Use this when the work is made after a conversation: size, materials, timing, price, delivery, and approval need to be clear before anyone commits.

03

Ready to sell

Use Marketplace when the item already exists, has photos, a price or trade terms, and can be listed without turning it into a full creator profile.

List in Marketplace
04

Class, lesson, or process

Use Learning Harbor when the value is teaching someone how to do it. Use Creative Studio when the work needs media, rights, captions, or a story before release.

If nothing is finished yet: Start with the maker profile. A maker can return through My Lighthouse to add photos, pricing, custom-work details, or a finished Marketplace listing when the work is ready.
Makerspace boundary: This room should not promise custom work before scope, price, timing, payment, and delivery are understood. Lighthouse should keep a maker’s contact private until the maker chooses the next step, and regular one-time items should move to Marketplace instead of becoming a confusing creator page.
