Private owner tools · test mode only
Try a convenience-store checkout.
Practice approving an itemized order, paying through Stripe’s test checkout, checking payment status and refunding it. These are sample orders: no real products, customers, delivery or driver payment.
Your chosen model: each store receives its payments and pays its own drivers. Lighthouse commission is zero. This sandbox uses your Stripe test account as a sample store; it does not connect a real merchant or enable public ordering.
Checking owner access…
1. Prepare the sample order
The sample contains $10 in goods, $3 delivery, $0.60 illustrative tax and a $0.40 tip. The test total is $14. Tax here is sample data, not a nationwide tax calculation.
2. Use Stripe test mode
An existing Stripe test key is needed for real provider checks. It stays in server memory for up to 20 minutes and is never saved to a file or this browser. Your live Stripe connection is separate.
On the Stripe page, use its documented test card 4242 4242 4242 4242, a future expiration date and any test CVC. Enter only test card details.
3. Check handoff and refunds
The test handoff is blocked until payment is verified. Refunding a sample order changes only this sandbox; it never adds real products back to a shelf.
Automatic provider checks
Create and refund a $14 test payment, verify two partial refunds and duplicate protection, check a decline, and create then expire a hosted test checkout. No email is sent. Test records remain in Stripe test history.
